WORKING WITH AN OYSTER CONSULTANT
Oyster challenges you to reflect on who you are, pushes you to dream about what you can do, and supports you in getting where you want to go. We work with you to tailor our services to your specific needs. We want - and you should expect - that you will get (and only pay for) what you need -- not for information, advice, or support that you don't need.
We commonly work with clients both in-person, and remotely. We make extensive use of free and low-cost cloud-based communication, file-sharing, and collaboration tools to efficiently and effectively work with you (and your family, and anyone else involved in your learning or college prep process).
Oyster can provide hourly consulting, defined-scope support, as well as comprehensive services. Most commonly, we serve as advisers, who equip and enable you to do your own investigating, learning, applying, and decision-making. The best outcomes tend to occur when we provide guidance and resources, to support you in a process that you ultimately own.
We offer a free initial consultation to better understand your goals and needs, and answer general questions. This can usually be accomplished in about 30 minutes. We will work with you to help you determine what type of services and working arrangement will best align with your goals, needs, and budget.
